Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery treats maxillofacial, head and neck congenital and acquired disorders. Planned inpatient and emergency surgical procedures involve treatment of the following diseases:

• orthognathic surgery to treat occlusal anomalies and sleep apnea;

• surgeries of head and neck area malformations include cleft lip and palate;
• treatment of head and neck tumours, including salivary gland tumours;
• treatment of head and neck area developmental diseases such as cysts, haemangiomas, lymphangiomas etc.;
• treatment of head and neck area infections and traumas;
• surgical correction of temporomandibular joint hyperplasia, ankylosis and tumours;
• surgical reconstruction of the mandible.

Inpatient admission process
Inpatient registration and admission occur at Puusepa 8 reception (kindly enter from Puusepa 8, hospital main entrance). Please leave your clothing in the patients’ cloakroom. You will receive the hospital clothing for patients. After the admission, staff member will escort you to the Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery. The department's nurse will register your arrival, introduce the department and escort you to your room. If you arrive before 1 p.m., you will be secured a dinner. You may also visit the hospital cafeteria on the 2nd floor.
